Bring in some texture to your modern Christmas decorations to set off these brilliant colors. First, begin with one color and supposing that you choose purple as your color, think of all its hues. Start at the deep purple end and move on to fuchsia, lilac, plum, red-violet, indigo, amethyst to eggplant. Now, add different textures and balance with the use of modern Christmas decorations that have different finishes on the balls, ribbons, decorative pillows and wreaths. Repeat this with each of the colors you plan to use. Use contrasting textures like ornaments of leather and glass against each other to create a bold contemporary look.
Add light and dimension to your home décor with well-placed wall mirrors. A beveled or a faceted mirror can bring in style when placed over a fireplace mantel or in the entryway by amplifying that holiday glow. To create a display of winter fun, use a mirror in a unique shape, like a hexagon-shaped mirror and add a small holiday motif glitter decal or glitter sticker with some greenery and bows, held in place with double-sided tape. Apart from decorative wall mirrors, mirrored ornaments are also a great way to add holiday sparkle and shine to your walls or your tree.
