Maintaining Proper Eye Care

There are several keys to maintaining proper eye health that will help to preserve the quality of your eyesight and guard against the development of eye diseases. Among these are keeping to a proper diet, providing protection against harmful sunlight and avoiding cigarette smoke.

The senses of sight are perhaps the most important of the five senses nature has give to man. A sightless man is a pitiable sight. Anything that interferes with your vision is exasperating and a danger to the capability to see is the sternest danger of all.

You must, consequently, take care of your eyes. Sometimes eyes do the job of the tongue: a mere iridescent of the eyelids may express volumes. They reproduce your inner mind. Whether the eyes are big or small is not in your hands, but do care of them. Large eyes ringed with dark circles are ugly, but luminous eyes, even if they are small, are beautiful.

Laser Trabeculoplasty – Help Protect Vision

Laser trabeculoplasty is another eye surgery that can treat glaucoma by improving the drainage angle of the eyes. People who are facing the problem of open-angle glaucoma can easily be treated by this eye procedure.

In this treatment a focused beam of light is transmitted into the eyes to treat the drainage angle, making it easier for fluids to ooze out of the front part of the eye, this in turn decrease the pressure. Generally, optometrists recommend this eye surgery for elderly with open-angle glaucoma who are unable to use any medication to treat the condition. However, recommendations may vary depending upon the type and stage of glaucoma as well as some other factors.

Eye Care Tips

1. Take a vitamin diet to make eyes brighter. (papaya, eggs, fish, milk, cilantro etc.,)
1. Wash eyes with cold water to get sparkling eyes.
2. Put sliced cucumber over your eyes to treat dark circles.
3. Put potato slices on your eye to get rid off those dark circles.
4. Soak amla overnight in water and use this water the next morning to wash the eyes.
5. Soak cotton in Luke warm milk and cover eyes with it for 15 min.
6. To soothe tired eyes, dip cotton pads in chilled milk and place on closed eyes for 10 minutes. Now relax completely.
7. To completely relax the eyes and the nearby muscles, close your eyes and think of something that is lovely or comforting and at a distance.
8. Now gently open your eyes and look into the distance. Next focus on an object at arm's length. Do this extremely relaxing exercise four or five times a day.
