1. Choose offset printing

2. Gather your own addresses
Developing your mailing list can cost you money. To save from the expense of renting or buying mailing lists, you can create your own.
You can start by listing down addresses you know and collect more from your friends and family. The advantage of getting addresses from people you know is that you can get an idea about the characteristics of these people. You could narrow down your list and exclude those that do not fall within the consumer demographic that you are after.
If you have a store, you can also gather addresses by asking customers to list down their postal address so you can send them updates on promos and products through your postcard marketing campaign.
To organize these information, encode in a spreadsheet to create your very own database. This way, addition and deletion of addresses in the future would be easy.
3. Follow direct mailing postcard specifications
The Standard mailing service of the United States Postal Service (USPS) costs less than First-class mail. To quality for Standard mailing, the quantity of your postcards must be at least 200 pieces and the size must not exceed 6.125” x 11.5”.
Keep the shape your postcards rectangular. Square cards are considered non-machinable since they cannot be processed through the postal equipment. There is a risk that it might malfunction. To process square cards, you will be asked to pay for the non-machinable surcharge.
The thickness which should be anywhere between 0.007 to 0.016 inches, or else your postcards may get damaged.
