How to resolve “Your file is corrupted or damaged” Error Message after MS Access File Corruption

While storing files in the shared folders ensures complete security, storing data in the storage device (that is external to the storage pool) can result into corruption of files. For example, saving your Access database files on a USB device and sharing them on a network, might result in corruption of those files. To overcome such database corruption situations, you will need to restore the data from a recent backup. However, if no backup is available or backup falls short to restore the data, then you will need to repair your corrupted database files using advanced access repair application.

Resolution:

To resolve the above error message and access the records saved in your database, you will need to follow the below measures:

Restore data from an updated backup.
Try and open your Access database files using an inbuilt repair application named “Compact and Repair.”
