A new service just for Canada has recently popped up and it's run by the Canadian Black Book which is what most dealers and banks use to determine the worth of a vehicle. The website is online and just launched May 28, 2010. The site lists trade in values, average retail asking price and predicted future value of new and used cars. It has used car prices for every vehicle in the Canadian market since 1997.
This service will not only help Canadian car buyers, but dealers too as more informed shoppers will be showing up to the dealerships. They will be more informed and will be a more serious buyer instead of just a tire kicker. Dealerships know that the decisions on what car to buy is made while shoppers research on the Internet. Once they get into the dealership they are focused and ready to buy.
Another nice feature about this website is that it also tells shoppers what the trade in value of the vehicle is. Other websites with used car values do not tell you what a dealer paid for a vehicle in trade in.
