It can be very exciting to move to California's largest metropolitan area. Many people move to Los Angeles to become actors or actresses, however, others move because of the various attractions the city has to offer. And almost everyone moving to Los Angeles looks forward to the weather.

Regardless of your reasons, long distance moving to Los Angeles with children requires detailed thought. Moving to Los Angeles with kids will be one of two possibilities: easy or difficult. The city offers many great advantages for kids, however, there are certain disadvantages you should be aware of before you schedule a move with your long distance movers. These will be discussed in the second section of this article.

Advantages
Los Angeles has a vast cultural background and, just like New York City, is a multi-cultural environment that will offer your children a chance to meet people from all over the world and get familiar with their cultures

This cultural mix is also a great way to get to know the different types of food, music, art, and languages. These experiences will help in your child's development as she is exposed to different smells and tastes and begins to understand and appreciate other cultures. The cultural experience is probably one of the most significant advantages that Los Angeles has to offer.

If you are into star searching, Hollywood is the place to do it, and it is not rare to bump into many of its stars in a local restaurant or just walking on Sunset Boulevard.

Attractions for Children in LA
There are some great attractions for children in Los Angeles. The Hollywood Museum is a great destination for movie fanatics. The museum offers a four-floor collection of motion picture magic, past and present in 5,000 displays. Another attraction is The Aquarium of the Pacific, which is a celebration of the world's largest and most diverse body of water. There are dozens of breathtaking exhibits with more than 12,000 of the ocean's inhabitants, including some 550 different species. And then of course there is Six Flags Magic Mountain, featuring the world's most thrilling rides plus exciting shows and family adventures. Hurricane Harbor Water Park, which is right next door, is open May-Sept.
