Long distance moving to the second largest metropolitan area in California is exciting. Regardless if you are moving due to a job related cause or just because you need or want a change in life, there are some children related factors you should take into consideration before you call up your long distance movers.

Advantages
There are plenty of good reasons to move to San Francisco. The city has an expansive cultural background and many kid related attractions. San Francisco has a multi-cultural atmosphere offering children many chances to meet people from all over the globe, get familiar with the different cultures, and experience the multi-ethnic vibe of a large metropolis.

This exclusive fusion also offers a great way for your children to get to know the different kinds of food, music, art, languages, etc. This will help your child's development as she is exposed to different smells and tastes, and learns to communicate with different types of people.

Attractions
There are many attractions that San Francisco offers for children and parents alike. Alcatraz Island offers a close-up look at the site of the first lighthouse and US fort on the West Coast, the infamous federal penitentiary long off-limits to the public, and the 18 month occupation by Indians of All Tribes which saved the tribes. Rich in history, there is also a natural side to the Rock - gardens, tide pools, bird colonies, and bay views beyond compare.

Six Flags Marine World offers the quality found in most Six Flags theme parks, and merges three parks into one: an Oceanarium, a wildlife park, and an exciting amusement area with thrilling rides. Roller coaster fanatics will go crazy for this park.

The Cliff House, which stands on the cliffs overlooking Seal Rocks has had four different variations. The two earlier versions were rather modestly small in size, especially when compared with the elaborate eight-story Victorian building which stood on that spot from 1896 to 1907 as the third Cliff House. And when that ornate version of the building burned down, the fourth version to be built was designed more like the first two: simple, and made to blend in with the ocean and cliffs surrounding it. That fourth version is still standing today.
