How To Keep Your Downline "When the going get's tough"

The age old adage "when the going gets tough, the tough get going" has come into play for many individuals in many career fields, but the saying couldn't ring any clearer than in Network Marketing. What would you feel like if you were left alone with your thoughts when your MLM came under scrutiny?

Understanding that our Down-line chose us and not the other way around is the first step to getting your organization back on track. Sure we may have recruited them in the first place, but they bought into our message and imagery. They must have seen the Value of what we were offering clearly enough that they decided to act and do business with us and pass the message along.

That is a testament to you and your skills, coupled with your belief system in the program or product that you were offering. However, without them your earnings are further compromised, so when you come under scrutiny from a select few, it is not the time to pull out and discard those who still believe. It is time to become Pro Active.

When you are experiencing hardship is actually the best time to validate the confidence your down-line invested in you. It is your down-line after all and you want them to remain on your team no matter what the outcome. They are clearly the Life Blood of your business.

So here are some of the fundamental strategies often forgotten during stressful times. Apply them to strengthen your team's results effectively and you could reap Massive rewards:

1. Make First Contact (Be a Proactive Marketer).

Contact your clients and be clear about what's going on. Remember that all people face difficulty from time to time and that your team should not consider themselves exempt but rather prepared to overcome. This will begin to re-create a positive reminder of why they chose your team to begin with.

Provide truths that are manageable and not too personally involved and do not attack or slander opposition directly. Stay Focused on the big picture and provide a solutions oriented path for them to participate in. This will let them know that they are involved with the right side of the spin, and will probably move on to slightly improve upon your message of solution, and once again the good message will take on a life of its own and begin to eradicate the invasive viruses like a shot of antibiotics.

2. Use Communication Tools Effectively.

Emails, Phone Calls, Letters from Your Desk are all great ideas, usually a multipronged offensive is the best solution. It is not so much the method as it is the act of communicating.

Attempt to return phone calls immediately, your down-line left alone will imagine the worse. lets face it being proactive is step one for a reason. People calling in now are either following up with you to re-affirm their belief in you or to ask why they haven’t received your correspondence. For the first be light hearted about the situation and confident on the solution. The second group, well you probably missed them on the list or haven't got to them yet. Have an email pre-written and ready to send out to them right there on the spot and repeat step one.

3. Buy yourself some time.

The Idea here is to provide yourself the breathing room you need to work. Provide your down line a time you can easily get things back on track. Remember perception is reality to them, this is an opportunity for you to under promise and over deliver. Accomplishing this task is a steady building block. The goal is to re-instill the proof that your team is the best earning team avaliable to them.

4. Building Your Team of Leaders

By now your key supporters will begin to emerge and solidify your position. Brainstorming with this group should be handled with care. Come in with a plan and offer it confidently, your team will want to help, take what works and thank what doesn't for its participation. This Team will effectively reach out through your entire organization rapidly and effectively. The light is now at the end of the tunnel.

5. Thank you’s and Praising.

Sending out a thank you correspondence should include a tangible and usable item. The list to be used here can include Ebooks, resell rights, mentorships, and other content rich material that gives them the perception that you truly do care.

As for your Key Strategists, these folks deserve Praise, remember your Down-line is your life blood, you do not get paid on what happens above you. Building leaders beneath you is what it is all about, they are not an expense or a costly sort. They are a wise investment.
