How do you avoid sneaky internet pickpockets? To paraphrase real estate brokers, common sense, common sense, and common sense. But if you think that I am going to stop there,wrong I'm just getting started. For those of you who lack patience to read the whole article..here are the bullet points first.
* Review websites can be useful, but their real goal is to get you to click thru to buy a product or membership fee. Sorry, they are not Clark Howard ( an awesome well-known consumer advocate who also actually believes in the free enterprise system..a rare combination). *Ebooks almost always give you the what, but skip the crucial minute 'how-to' details. *If it sounds too good to be true, then do your due diligence. A quick way, try to get the person on the phone. If you can't, beware! A person who will chat leisurely with you on the phone at no charge is Peter Grundner. He has a solid off-line successful marketing background is at http://myedconline.com. * If the program being pitched is high dollar (say $1,000 or $2,500), but there is no step down program say in the hundreds of dollars. Beware. It is too easy to take the money and run.
*Last but not least, stay away from websites devoted to uncovering scams! This is a clever ploy to make you think they are the internet version of Clark Howard (who I mentioned earlier).
