A fresh graduate can get job by adopting a proactive approach. He/she does not have to wait for the completion of the degree. In final year job search must be started based on the selected field or area of interest of the candidate.

The individual shall start compiling his/her contacts or call seniors of the institute which are already working in different companies. Universities and display of projects can also play good role.

Personal meeting them is the most effecting method. During student tenure one must develop a professional level of resume with the help of sample resumes or experienced persons. At start the resume must reflect course of studies, laboratory projects and achievements.

At start of the career salary package / money must not be the priority. The graduate must look for a reputed and multinational company which is very well known in the market and have lots of learning opportunities. In fact any organization shall be selected which can provide the best learning opportunity of any kind.

In addition the following methods can work. Negotiating a package shall be up to very limited extent at the start but it must depend on the position, your choices, available circumstances, location and many other factors.

Resume shall be dropped at every possible relevant place and must not be based on personal choice. You may get a reply from any organization which may not be in your knowledge.

If job is not available in the organization of your choice, try to get the internship in same company. This is a very effective way to enter into a company. Later based on your performance, available opportunity, field selection, departmental strengths, organizational area etc. one can reach department of his/her choice.

Applying for jobs via internet, newspaper advertisements, magazines are also effective. However inside opportunities in companies can be most effectively obtained through friends, seniors, markets contacts.
