Discuss extensively with your website designer regarding who your target customers are and what can be their expectations from your website. Keep the flashing images in limited amount, also don’t go overboard with inserting many different types of fonts and colors.
It is an accepted fact that inserting right kind of images or pictures can spice up the website look and make it attractive. For instance addition of an image at the footer, header or in between texts is good option to break away the monotony. Add graphics to the web pages but with proper thinking and crafting designing strategies.
1. Swapping images- It is a very interesting option, here when the cursor shifts from one website object like a button, it would automatically lead to swapping another graphical image. These swap images add fun element to a website, so if it suits your website than it can be tried as it is highly interactive and exciting. JavaScript and Fireworks are powerful designing tools for designing websites by inserting swap images.
2. Rollover images- This type of image is also another type of swap images. When you place your cursor on the first image, it changes to second image as cursor scrolls over the image link. But when the cursor shifts from that image, it regresses back to the original first image. Such types of rollover images is a positive addition to a web page, but see to it that the pages don’t take much time to load otherwise prospective customers would go away from your website. For this form of website designing again JavaScript can be used.
3. Background images- You can ask your website designer to affix columns or rows or both to the main table and add suitable background images. However the selection of the background image is highly dependant on the business of your website. For example- it would be different for a toy website and an automobile website.
