The festival of La Tomatina is an amazing festival that brings life into the Spanish people celebrating this festival . It is held in the town of Bunol and the particular place were this event takes place is Valencian in the country of Spain . The excitement is every were in the air the best part of the festival is the feature of it that makes it so popular all over the globe .

In this festival of La Tomatina as the name suggest that it has something to do with the tomatoes but it will be hard to believe if it was said that it was all about throwing tomatoes at each other . There is a particular time when this world festival of La Tomatina is being celebrated in that region . It is celebrated during the last week of August how ever it is the last Wednesday of that month and it is during the this last week of Bunol where it is seen as the week of festivals . The festival of La Tomatina did not start very long back rather it started in the year of 1959 under the pressure of the local people , but it was granted a clear yes in the year of 1950 by a council . This was shot lived and was opposed by few of the opponents that the festival should not be stopped .

And later again because of the pressure that was put by the residents of that town and the participants along with the lovers of the festival supported the exciting festival of La Tomatina be started again . And after it was started the trowing of tomatoes came as they invented of new ways to make more fun loving and different festival to be ever played any were in the world .

But the festival saw a dead end once again as it was hit by a strict ban with penalties . The locals then thought of organizing a rally that would not only grab international pressure but also put a lot of pressure on the government to restart the festival of La Tomatina and this was done by carrying the tomatoes in the coffins that symbolized as the funeral for the tomatoes . And it was later seen that due to this kind of pressure tactics the council ultimately gave up the ban but at same time it was stated that they could throw only tomatoes and nothing else and that too after a horn was blown . And thats how the foundation of the international festival of the La Tomatina came to proper existence .
