Ranthambore National Park
Ranthambore is one of the most popular wildlife destinations of the country. It spread along the 400 sq-km of area at the joining of the Vindhya Plateau and the Aravalli Hills. The protected area preserves large population of India tigers. It is one of the finest places in the country to spot tigers in their habitant. Apart form the tiger, Leopard, wild boar, hyena, sloth bear and chital can also easily spotted in the park.
Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary
This is a man made sanctuary in Bharatpur district of Rajasthan. It is one of the finest bird sanctuaries in the entire world. There are various domestic and migratory birds can be seen in this sanctuary. The park is the home for more than 230 specious of the birds. There are several waterfowl also found in the sanctuary, most famous of them are common teal, Indian shag cotton teal, comb duck, tufted duck, little cormorant, great cormorant, common sandpiper, wood sandpiper, etc. Common land birds found in the park are babblers, bee-eaters, warblers, buntings and bulbuls.
Kanha National Park
The reserve is located in Mandla and Balaghat districts of Madhya Pradesh. The park spread approximately over the 940 sq-km of area. It is the home of significant population of the royal Bengal Tigers. Leopards, the sloth bear, Barasingha and Indian wild dog are also found in large numbers at in this reserve.
Kaziranga National Park
Kaziranga is located in the Golaghat and Nagaon districts of Assam. It covers approximately area 430 sq-km of area. Kaziranga is also declared as the world heritage sight by the UNESCO. The reserve is famous for the preservation of rare One Horned Rhinoceros. There are various other species of animal also found in significant amount. Elephants, wild water buffalo, and swamp deer the other most common animals found in the park.
Jim Corbett Park
Jim Corbett is the oldest Wildlife Conservation in India. It is located in Uttarakhand district at the foothills of Himalayan. Bengal tigers are the major attraction of the reserve. Jim Corbett National Park in India is an ideal place for the nature lovers and preserves the wide range of plant species.
