Finding corporate gifts for the well-heeled executive is no easy task. Whether your gift is for a client or a member of your own management team, it can be tricky to find affordable gifts that convey how much that person means to your business. If you buy a gift that is too cheap to produce, the receiver of this gift will be able to tell immediately, and they will not feel valued. On the other hand, it is very easy t spend too much money on a gift that is not really appreciated because the person you give it to already has items like it, most of them superior to an item of corporate gift quality.

The solution to this is to seek out corporate gifts that are innovative, high quality and interesting. The idea, ultimately, is to pick out an item that you are sure that person does not have. If it is a large account and you have the opportunity to talk to the person personally, the easiest way is to simply ask them, “hey, do you have one of those motorized power tie racks?” If they say no and your company presents them with one of these stylish novelty items, they will value your gift far greater than a tie pin and cufflink set with a logo printed on them.

Corporate gifts stand out from your usual promotional items or appreciation awards. They have to be functional, high quality, useful and durable – and they have to look good too! When you are giving gifts to people with high salaries, there is a little known principle of psychology that can save you a lot of pennies. Once a gift’s value goes over a certain threshold, people of a certain income group stop caring how much it cost. As long as it has at least a certain minimum apparent value your clients or executive staff will find it valuable.

So why do we want our potential client and executives staff to feel as if we are spending money on them?

The answer to this is obvious. When it comes to clients, they want o know that your company finds them more valuable than other companies do, and more valuable than you find other clients. If you send them a high quality novelty gift like motorized tie racks, hand held GPS devices, lap top bags and personal diary assistants each year, they will feel that they are receiving value from you, no matter what their annual salary might be.
