Let’s start with understanding writing link-worthy content, which is the best way to naturally acquire links. This involves writing website content that provides and offers interesting useful information for the website visitor. Your content must be original, search engines will apply a great penalty to duplicate content, so be very careful. Develop a headline for your article that grabs the reader. A great hint to getting visitors to read your content is to get their attention with a clever headline. Creating a headline that will capture the readers attention is an endeavor that warrants some time. The headline can make or break a great article, even if the content of the article is fabulous. If you cannot provide an intriguing hook for your headline visitors may never read your content, so take heed.
What are link-votes? The ever dominating search engines can hand out a certain number of “votes” to other pages through links. The number of votes a page receives varies tremendously, depending upon the websites overall SEO strength. It’s often referred to as the voting system “PageRank”. Depending on the relevancy of the linking website, every vote can be worth more or even less than anticipated. Often incentives, such as discounts on products or services or free training if your website offers it. Most importantly, do not leave this resource out of your link-building plan of action, you will often reget it.
An additional topic that I would like to touch on is link buying and selling. If you are caught selling links be prepared for severe penalties from the search engine. Search engines view link selling as the ultimate violation and treat it as such. So here is some sound advice: Don’t sell links, period. The risks you take when buying links is just as crital. Search engines look out for websites that suddenly acquire a lot of links, resulting in a temporary but detrimental drop in your websites rankings.You can often spend a large amount of money to obtain links from websites that promise positive voted links that link to your site. Watch Out! Many and most of these sites are scams. They get you to pay and then create links from an already designated spam site, causing you penalties and/or no links for your money. Please be weary of promises are too good to be true.
