File Corruption and Data Loss on NTFS File System Partition |

Event ID: 41
Source: Diskperf
Description: The file system structure on disk is corrupt and unreadable. Please run the chkdsk utility on the device with label "Volume_name"
Event ID: 55
Source: NTFS
Description: The file system structure on disk is corrupt and unusable. Please run the chkdsk utility on the volume "Drive_letter:"
When you run the ChkDsk utility against affected NTFS file system partitions, the tool may or may not fix the issue. However, after applying the ChkDsk you still can't delete files or access it.
Grounds of the issue:
This problem may take place if the MFT (Master File Table) of NTFS partition is damaged. The long and short file name pairs, which are stored in directory index record and file names, which are stored in associated FRS (File Record Segment) has case-sensitive characters that don't match.
NTFS file system supports POSIX (case-sensitive) file names, however ChkDsk doesn't check the file names in the case-sensitive mode.
Resolution
In order to sort out this problem and perform NTFS Partition Recovery, go through the underwritten steps:
Backup entire volume, which contains corrupted files or is affected.
Exclude the damaged files from backup.
Format the NTFS partition.
