Lithium batteries are light in weight and are more expensive.

These batteries have recharging cycle series which enhance their durability. One should always purchase a battery that comes with a warranty.

The life of the cordless phone battery can always be extended by discharging them fully and regularly before fully charging them. This routine may be repeated every two to three weeks. Cordless phone batteries perform better when often used. When not use they drain on their own. So one should always remove the batteries from the phone and store them in a cool, dry place while not using the phone or going out.
