Setting up a social account for your business is very easy and best of all it’ free. One main advantage of having a presence in social networks is that you can easily connect with your customers and build trust in the process.
Here are some of the important things to consider in creating you account:
• Easy to recall username
• Links
• Photos
• Bio Info
• Graphics
If you are setting up a Twitter account then you will have to choose the appropriate background image that best describes your business or product. Try to experiment using different color themes and see which ones are the best to use. The bio should be as short as possible. When you include a link in your message try to target a specific landing page and not just the home page of your site.
YouTube
The guidelines in creating a Twitter account also apply to YouTube. Make sure to include a link in the description of the video you have uploaded.
This is probably the first social media that you should create an account on. One advantage of Facebook is that it has a very large community of 800 million members thus making you reach out to lots of people.
You are going to have to come up with a good and catchy page name and place it in the appropriate category. It’s also best to create a customized vanity URL. You can do this once your page has reached 25 fans. Make sure to place as much information as possible in the bio section and place links to your main website.
Try to setup your page in such a way that people who haven’t liked you page yet can’t access certain info. This will force them to click on the like button.
When making posts, make sure to make it engaging so that people will make a comment. Try to add the phrase “ Click on Like if… “or “Feel free to comment on…”.
