If you have two mobile phones for example a personal mobile phone and a work mobile phone, you may find it annoying having to carry both mobile phones around with you. And there is also the cost that is involved in having to purchase two mobile phones, or having to take out two mobile phone contracts.

Samsung have revealed the D780 Duos dual sim card mobile phone, the second dual sim card mobile phone that they have manufactured, the first being the D880. The D780 works just like a standard mobile phone, but instead of reading just one sim card the D780 Duos reads both sim cards, simply put both sim cards are active at the same time. This should allow you to make and receive calls/text messages to both of your sim cards from the same handset.

Not only does it have dual sim capabilities, it also boasts a 2 mega pixel camera, video recorder, MP3 player, FM radio, and micro SD card.

Another handy use for the Samsung D780 Duos would be if you had a personal or business sim card, and an international sim card (that gives you cheaper calls to abroad). This would save you having to swop between mobile phones when making your international calls.

The D780 Duos will be available in mirror silver and dark silver colour schemes, and should hopefully be available from June 2008. Samsung are expected to expand their Duos range of handsets this year including one that will include Windows Mobile operating system.
