The Power of Intention is about harmonizing with the creative force in the universe—Dyer calls it “the Source”—to create the life you desire. Each chapter provides support and instructions on how to align with the Source. A reoccurring teaching throughout the book seems to be: if you feel good, you are harmonized with the Source; in other words—if you feel good, you feel God. After reading/hearing the Power of Intention, I went on to buy an older book by Dr. Dyer about meditation called Getting in the Gap, about getting in the gap between your thoughts and making conscious contact with the Source.
The book actually turned out to be the easiest instruction I’ve ever had regarding the practice of meditation. The book is accompanied by a CD that guides you through the process of Getting in the Gap. I then went on to read one of Dr. Wayne Dyer’s earliest writings from when he wasn’t a spiritualist at all, Your Erroneous Zones.
The book also turned out to be one of the useful texts I’ve ever read, focusing on overcoming immobilization and living with purpose and zest. I hear Your Erroneous Zones was a popular one back in the day (about five years before I was born). Dr. Dyer’s Inspiration came out a couple months ago. As soon as I get an extra buck, I plan on picking up a copy.
