These sanctuaries are located in the prime states of India and are a kaleidoscope of rich fauna here. The most visited and famous being Ranthambore National Park, situated in Rajasthan. The park was legally declared a sanctuary in 1955 and became part of Project Tiger in 1973.

The park is reckoned as one of the affluent reserve of Tigers of different varieties including the most endangered ones too. If you really want to enjoy your holiday amidst the wonders of nature then, Ranthambore National Park is the place to be. The best time of the year, when you can find amazing weather and display of wildlife is between November and May when the nature of the dry deciduous woods makes sightings common. Spread across a sprawling area of 400 sq. km, the park is set between the Aravali and Vindhya ranges having deciduous forests that were once a part of the magnificent jungles of Central India.

Apart from tigers, a vacationer can also get a glimpse of jackal, mongoose, sloth bear and leopard along with various other animals and rare species. Moreover, the surrounding areas are no more than a treat for travelers, primarily adventure lovers as the park is bordered by Vindhya and Aravali hill ranges and is located very near to the outer fringes of the Thar Desert.

Mesmerizing vacationers of all genres, Ranthambore National park is also a visual delight for bird watchers; boasting of 272 species of birds. The most appropriate places to reap the real pleasure out of bird watching are Malik Talao, the Ranthambore Fort, Rajbagh Talao, Padam Talao and in the Jhalra area. Some of the rare and abundant species flock to the park like Graylag Goose, Woodpeckers, Indian Gray Hornbills, Common Kingfishers, Bee Eaters, Cuckoos, Parakeets, Asian Palm Swift and Owl to name a few.

A view of tigers roaming around, lush greenery, a gamut of other species of animals and chirpy birds; what more can a vacationer want.
