Our skin cannot turn over as quickly as they can when we were young. But microdermabrasion can help to exfoliate your skin, removing your dead skin. When you don’t exfoliate it, you will get a buildup of dead skin, which makes it look dull and gives it an uneven texture. A layer of dead skin can accentuate your wrinkles and lines. It also clogs your pores, making you more prone to pimples, blackheads, and whiteheads. Therefore, exfoliation is important, since it can smooth the texture and replace dead skin with new skin.

At Ulan Medical Spa, we provide two kinds of mechanical microdermabrasion, either crystals or a diamond-tipped head can abrade the skin with a suctioning and vacuuming action.

First, we’ll discuss the diamond microdermabrasion. There are thousands of tiny, uniformly sized diamond particles in it and its tip is round with a hole in the middle. So it can be natural or synthetic. The diamond particles, plus the suction can help to exfoliate your skin. This procedure will last about 20 minutes and there is no downtime. Then, let’s talk about the crystal microdermabrasion. Here, aluminum oxide or sodium bicarbonate crystals are blasted onto your face to exfoliate it and are then suctioned away. This procedure can have downtime. Diamond microdermabrasion has become more accurate and more popular to use for a technician. For instance, you can exfoliate closer to your lip lines and eyes with diamond microdermabrasion.

Now you know how important the microdermabrasion is, please feel free to have a consultation with us!
