The first step is to see the beautiful and exotic Delhi. It is also called Dilli in hind and is a city with a rich historic past. Before moving from Delhi to Agra, you will have to see some of the finest spots in the city with a very rich heritage. It is also called national capital territory. This city is located on the banks of river Yamuna, a river with significance in the Indian mythology. It was also called Indraprasta in the ancient times, during the time of Mahabharata. New Delhi is the capital of India after country attained freedom from British rule. Various kings and rulers have ruled the city from time to time.
When you have a trip of Delhi, you will come across some splendid monuments. One of these is the Qutub Minar. It is a tallest minaret with height of 72.5 m. The construction was started by qutub ud din Aibak and was finally finished by Altutmish. Red sandstone is used for the purpose of the construction. The construction was started in the year 1193 AD. At this place, there were around 27 Jain and Hindu temples. They were destroyed and the debris was used for its construction. You can see complete Delhi for two to three days covering forts, monuments, parks, president’s palace, India gate etc and then move to Agra.
Agra is a beautiful city located on banks of river Yamuna. Raja Badal singh founded the city in the year 1475. During the times of the Mahabharata, it was called Agrevana. Mughal kings ruled this city in the later years and during this rule, the wonder of the world, Taj mahal came into existence. It was made by emperor Shahjahan to commemorate love for his beloved wife Mumtaz mahal. You can also see the Agra fort and many more.
After covering Agra in one or two days, you will move to the third and final spot called Jaipur. This city was found in the year 1727 by Maharaja Swai jai singh. He ruled Amber. You can see places like Hawa mahal, Nahargarh fort and Jantar Mantar. You can also see Amer fort, located few kilometers from Jaipur. Amer fort is considered to be pride of Rajasthan because of it historic significance.
