What should we do to unleash new growth and profitability by serving the other 86% which is probably an invisible market? Perhaps we need to discover radically different rules of engagement that make us to sell also to this unseen market.

Companies may grow profitably by focusing on and achieving full potential in their core business. However times have changed and we should think to increase our share of pie in the market. Well yes, there are detailed strategies, implementation techniques and much more.

I shall hereby talk on one of the most important ingredient for the recipe of success for any organization which is none other than its “Customers”. We have widely used the term “Customer is king” and as far as my knowledge is concerned, there is no denying the fact. Successful customer relationships have been the pillar of any business.

What is it that builds strong customer relations? What is it that questions excellence be it any form?
Listed below is some of my learning which I have gained in the couple of years spent in the industry.

• A regular interaction with the customers- It helps to builds a strong bond.
• Listen to the customer’s needs and concerns.

• Keep a rapid response time for the customer from answering e-mail to talking on phone to a personally Meeting.
• Builds relationships, not transactions. A happy customer will keep coming back for more.
• Think hard before making a commitment. Once you commit, stay committed.

Remember, customers are not just external. They are also internal.
We should adapt to change and ensure that we deliver on expectations of all our key stakeholders-including customers, fellow teams and family members.

So, let us smile and enjoy creating more value for your customers.
