One way for your custom poster printing to stand out is to make it big – as large as a billboard. Billboards are tools that are so popular and eye-catching that a regular sized poster printing cannot rival its effectiveness. Because of its huge size, people cannot help but be drawn to its splendor and the message it conveys. It is so large that the custom poster printing is just that hard to ignore.

However, because large format printing entails more costs than regular poster printing, not so many businesses find this particular marketing strategy practical. Despite its effectiveness, large format poster printing is definitely not cost effective that they are often used for one time sales opportunities.

But if ever you decide to splurge a little and choose this particular custom poster printing strategy.

1. Select your location yourself. This means choosing where you will put your billboard. Do not ever leave it to the sales agent to pick your area where you will mount your collateral. It should be your responsibility to select the best spot; it is not the other person’s duty.

2. Choose a billboard that can stand alone. Do not be swayed to get stacked boards by your sales agent. With a stand-along billboard, you have more chances of being noticed than all the stacked boards combined.

3. Keep your overall appearance clear, short, and eye-catching. The main purpose of your billboard is to attract the attention while giving your message in just five seconds. Remember that your target clients will only be able to look at your ad for only five seconds because they will most probably be in a moving vehicle. So you better make sure your ad counts. Include your contact information so they can easily call you when they want to have more information on your ad.

4. Use no more than eight words in your copy and avoid putting too many pictures in your design. As your readers would be moving while reading your ad, it will make it harder for them to sift through your elements if you have too many to attract their attention. A message too long will not be read in the five seconds that they speed by your ad. Too much graphics also distracts as well as confuse your readers to the basic essence of your message. So make it short and precise.

5. Choose areas that are well lighted so they can easily notice your ad. Finally, be sure to have a well-planned custom poster printing to ensure that you get your expectations right, as well as work according to the budget you have. A well organized and designed billboard not only stands out but attracts definite clients for your business.
