Kidney stones sometimes become highly complicated to handle and becomes highly difficult for a patient to cope with it. A big sized stone may block the urinary tract and invite a lot of problems to the patient. This can cause pressure and pain, along with the risk of kidney damage, bleeding and infection. Smaller stones may partially block the thin tubes that connect each kidney to your bladder or the outlet from the bladder itself. These stones may cause ongoing urinary tract infection or kidney damage if left untreated.
The kidney stones have adverse effect on the kidneys and the urinary tract. Although kidney stones mostly block the urinary tract but then too it is found that they do not generally cause lasting damage to the tract. The risk of infection can not be ruled out.
