Global warming has been one of the biggest concerns since the millennium and ever since experts have been raising their voices to notify and only until recently since drastic changes in weather conditions, people have really started to take in interest into the subject. It is high time we all buckle up and work towards the betterment of the future.

Say no to books. Books are one of the primary reasons for global warming and other life threatening scenario. Lots of trees are cut down to manufacture papers for the papers and with the rate of growth of population and the amount of oil we use for cooking, petrol and diesel for vehicles, who is going to help us to reduce the pollution if not for these trees? And thanks to the rise of population, more and more land area is required and forests are cut down to give rise to newer towns and cities.

Population is one of the biggest concerns and there is no immediate solution for us in the near future. However, deforestation and cutting down of trees must be severely dealt with and it’s high time we contribute towards it and spread the awareness all across the world because by the time the message is passed on, it might be too late to alter what seems inevitable anytime soon.

More books mean more cutting of trees which leads to more pollution on an account of volatile organic compounds. Commercial printers have also been a cause for the detrimental health condition of our globe. They have consumed forests for manufacturing more books and the volatile compounds released on their part is known to cause cancers, cardiovascular diseases, birth defects etc.

These volatile organic compounds are found in paint thinners, dry cleaning solvents, gasoline and natural gas. Methane and non-methane come under the same category and act as air pollutants. Methane is known as greenhouse gas and it is one the major reasons for global warming and ozone depletion to have occurred. The depletion of ozone layer has opened the window for harmful UV rays to creep through. These UV rays are harmful to every living thing and causes sun burns, skin diseases, skin cancer and other respiratory problems.

You can’t even imagine the sad condition of lifestyle we might be put through if things are not taken seriously. Of course it is not that late to give up and things can be controlled. And it is not that commercial printers are the primary reasons, however they too do hold a share of responsibility towards our present state. It is time to change towards green printers as they hold one of the keys for a greener cheerful planet. Printing houses have already welcomed green printers with all of their hearts.
