It is here that an individual’s personality plays a critical role in enabling him deal with unpredictable, demanding and ever changing corporate environment. The ability of an individual to think, communicate and act upon his ideas effectively has become the key factor in differentiating a good performer from an average performer. The idea is to make the incumbent more and more salable.
The concept that percolates through this endeavor is to dig into the areas that act as a bottleneck and then slowly moving to the phase that makes incumbent to not only take in the change but also reflect that through his behaviors. The first area that catches attention is the area of resistance. A change without a resistance is no change. Some of them go as follows:
1. Goal dilemma
2. Esteem dilemma
3. Heterogeneity of the mass that enters in terms of backgrounds, schooling, society, region to which they belong
4. Fear of facing the mass
5. Consciousness about the grooming and outfits
6. Poor body language
7. Fear of the unknown
The second area deals with in details, the challenges that a faculty who is involved in this area faces; in terms of the students’ unwillingness, their attitude towards the class, and also dealing well with the “side effects” as we can name them, who dissuade those who want to learn.
The final part of the three areas discussed above deals very meticulously with the 3 stages in the form of a solution to what we have talked about so far and is very judiciously named as
“THE 3P TRICKLE DOWN EFFECT” .It comprises of the basic three stages in the persona enhancement journey and is named after them as PRIOR STAGE, PRESENT STAGE and POST STAGE. A brief description of the three is given below:
THE PRIOR STAGE deals with the stage wherein the incumbents’ beliefs are being triggered and the status quo is challenged.
THE PRESENT STAGEdeals with the scenario wherein ways to pull the attention of the incumbent towards the class is being dealt with.
THE POST STAGE deals with the implementation and diffusion stage of the lessons taught during this journey.
