Causes Of Joint Pain |

The pain is commonly felt as swelling or stiffness around the joints especially when it is being touched or moved. It lingers through the bones, it disturbs other parts of the body, and as bad as it gets, it worsens over time. However, joint pain is not the actual problem. It is just a symptom of the larger picture.
There are three common causes related with joint pain. Knowing these causes would aid for proper diagnosis and treatment. It is therefore important to get acquainted of the following:
1. Arthritis
Arthritis is by far the most common cause of joint pain. It is a disease formed by the inflammation of the joints because of the wearing of cartilage inside it or the formation of uric acid crystals around the joints that result to erosion of the two opposing bones. Aside from joint pain, other arthritis symptoms are inability to use the hand or inability to walk, loss of flexibility, fatigue, muscle ache, fever and weight loss. To avoid the worse condition, arthritis treatment, usually in the form of massage, physical therapies, and taking of dietary supplements, are being taken.
2. Injuries
Another cause of joint pain could be result from injuries. When injured, swelling and redness are usually noticed around the area where ligaments or cartilage within the joints are coarsely affected. This happens after engaging in physical activities like sports and exercises, or could also be because of accidents. Once injured, make sure to see a medical practitioner to properly treat the joints before the pain becomes unbearable.
3. Infectious diseases
Pain in the joints can also be caused by infectious diseases such as rheumatic fever, mumps, chicken pox, hepatitis, bursitis, influenza, Lupus, and Lyme’s disease. It brings soreness and inflammation to the joints and has seen with other symptoms like fever, headache, fatigue and rashes. Like arthritis, treatment for these diseases should be urgently taken to prevent more severe problem than pain.
Joint pain is probably one of the body’s worst enemies as it hinders in maximizing the physical capacity of an individual to move. Whether caused by arthritis, injuries, or infectious diseases, joint pain should always be given adequate treatment so as not to worsen the disease and affect other body parts or reduce the body’s ability to remain mobile.
