Replacing inkjet cartridges requires planning and careful selection of the cartridges otherwise the money invested in the refilling or purchasing of new ink cartridges can go all waste. Many of us get influenced by the advertisement of cheap ink cartridges and take a wrong decision by just looking at the cost and neglecting the maintenance and running cost of the printer. After all it is the quality of the ink cartridges that have impact on the durability and performance of the printers. This aspect is always neglected by us while choosing an inkjet cartridge and we go by the price and chose a cheap inkjet cartridge, which are not good for our printer.

Inkjet cartridges are expensive and to combat this price there are cheap ink cartridges also available in the market. But when we will closely look we will find that there is not much difference between the printout qualities but the quantity aspect differs with the cheap inkjet cartridges and the original inkjet cartridges. In order to retain their customers they keep the quality reasonable so that the clients are satisfied with its performance. However one will see the difference in the number of printout taken by a cheap inkjet cartridge and a branded ink cartridge. Number of pages that a cheap or refill cartridges print is quite less then the number of pages printed by branded ink cartridges and if we compare the cost per page we will be surprised to know that not much amount of money is saved.

The other disadvantage associated with cheap ink cartridges is that it clogs the nozzle of the printer which also causes damage to the printer head. This will further enhance the quality of the printout and it will ultimately hamper the quality of the work. So one should be very careful while choosing an ink cartridge as all our printing work entirely depends on the quality of the ink cartridges used.

One point we should all remember that original inkjet cartridges will always give the best print quality, which is not possible with the cheap or refill ink cartridges. Different company offering ink cartridges uses separate quality of ink and sometimes even the same company uses different quality ink for their various models. So the quality of the printout will totally depend on the quality of the ink used in the ink cartridges. The inks used in branded cartridges are designed to work with a particular printer. If one selects the wrong type of ink for his printer, he might not only suffer with the print quality but can also cause damage to his computer.
