Butterfly Displays
A collection of flush mounted butterflies makes a beautiful and unique wall display.
This kind of mounting requires preserved butterflies to be carefully placed on white filler and the top glass is then pressed against it. Several preserved butterfly frames displayed together on one wall can make an awesome display piece. A collection of single mounted butterflies is perfect for walls that are narrow or have limited space. They give your room a completely different look. Most single mounted butterfly displays include the scientific name of the butterfly printed or inscribed beneath the butterfly.
For larger wall spaces you can also get larger butterfly frames consisting of many butterflies mounted together in a riot of different colors or many butterflies in different sizes but all in the same size.
Depending on the color of your room you can chose butterfly frames that consist of mounted butterflies in shades of iridescent green, exotic yellow or vibrant blue.
In addition, you could also get mounted butterflies that have wing motions that are amazingly realistic. The movement is electronically controlled and requires enormous patience and painstaking labor to achieve.
Butterfly farms
Butterflies that are used in butterfly art displays, frames and jewelry are not caught in the wild, but are especially raised on butterfly farms in Asia, Australia and the rainforest areas of Southern and Central America.
The butterflies that are raised on these farms lay eggs and complete their 30-day life-span and are only collected when they are dead. No live butterflies are harmed or endangered at these farms, whereas catching butterflies in the wild harms the live butterflies, endangers the species and also damages the wings, which eventually renders them useless to be used in any form of butterfly art.
Where to get butterfly frames
Mounted butterflies make perfect corporate gifts during Christmas and other special occasions.
However stores having whole sale butterfly displays are not always easy to find and would entail making a lot of directory enquiry or walking around to various stores to check what they have in stock. The best and most convenient place to look for whole sale butterfly frames is by doing a search on the Internet.
There are many sites offering many different kinds of preserved butterfly frames to choose from and at very attractive prices. Almost all reputed sites that deal with mounted butterflies and other butterfly art have detailed pictures of the various butterfly art forms available, whether in the form of frames or jewelry or pieces of art. Their terms and conditions are all very clearly stated so there is no room for misunderstanding. Some companies will also custom-make wholesale butterfly frames according to your specifications and budget. What’s more every piece you buy from a reputed company is usually accompanied by a certificate.
