A - Attention grabbing premise.
One of the basic things you need in an advertising poster is an Attention grabbing premise. This basically means that your main feature in your custom poster design should have an eye catching or attention grabbing quality. This is a very crucial thing for an advertising poster since it basically needs to distract people from what they are usually doing and direct them to stare at the posters.
The key elements that will help you get that attention grabbing premise is the poster title and the main poster image. Typically for poster content, powerful words like Free and Discount can be used as “attention grabbing” tools, while for images unusual and often provocative images are best. Whatever you use, as long as it grabs people’s attention, it should be a good first step for successful advertising posters.
B - Beneficial content.
Next after attention grabbing premise is beneficial content. People should gain something from your color poster for it to be really effective. Plain and direct advertising brochures with only praising content about its product is typically ignored today. People like custom posters that make them laugh, entertain them in some way, or even inform them about very interesting facts. The more benefits a poster can give to its readers, the more time those readers will spend reading those prints.
C - Call to action elements.
Of course, for an advertising poster to be effective, it should also encourage people to action. It must have “call to action” elements that basically tell people what they need to do in a convincing manner. This can be something simple as a “buy now!” graphic, or maybe it is a set of instructions on how to order something. As long as that element is clearly visible and very convincing, a custom poster for advertising should be able to do its job quite effectively.
D - Detailed and concise supporting content.
Now, beyond the basic elements, a good advertising poster also needs detailed and concise supporting content. This is especially true for more complex products or services that need people to be informed about several concepts. This is usually done in special product posters where the product has some new and often not popularly known characteristics about it. As long as you write it in a detailed and supporting manner of course, you should be able to turn up powerful advertising posters.
E - Enhanced graphics.
Lastly, we have enhanced graphics. Great advertising posters have flawless graphics and images. Posters that do not have high quality images will typically look cheap and will not garner the best number of responders from the market. So do not forget to enhance your own advertising posters by polishing up your graphics to perfection.
