The first reason I think everyone should have a website for their business is because of the time it saves you. The number 1 thing most people who own a business spend their time doing is prospecting. If you have a website you do not have to spend your time cold calling, or handing out brochures. The people that are interested in your business will find your website and it will sell the product for you. They also have the option to sign up for an online newsletter, this way if they are not interested the first time they see your business they will be exposed to it many more times. For some people it's just a matter of timing.
Another important reason for having a website is it delivers a perfect presentation of your product or business 100% of the time. It always looks and sounds the same no matter how you are feeling. Most people do not have the energy to explain their product perfectly 24 hours a day 7 days a week. But if you have a website this will all be automated for you. A website is definitely a necessity if you want to get far in your business. You want your prospects to have access to your information anytime of day.
When someone has the time to go over your website they will most likely be willing to buy your product. Nobody likes to be pressured into making decisions when it is not on their terms.
