Check with your state, county, and city officials to see what type of licenses you need, as well as what type of insurance you're required to have. You'll also need to purchase the equipment you'll need for the jobs you'll be doing. And don't forget advertising. If you're working on a limited budget, start with putting flyers up around your area and putting ads in the local papers. As your enterprise starts to grow, you can look into other types of advertising.
Establishing Relationships

Provide free estimates, keep your prices competitive, and provide extra services for no charge when possible. Be friendly, prompt, and place a high priority on quality workmanship. Never underestimate the importance of word-of-mouth advertising.
