Just as Chatuchak, Min Buri District too rests on the east side of Chao Phraya River. In Min Buri you can discover another kind of massive attraction. Acclaimed as one of the biggest open zoos in Asia, this is the magnificent Bangkok Safari World. From its outset in February 1988, the park operated as an open zoo accompanied by a bird park. A year later it was renovated and expanded as a Safari Park and a Marine Park complemented with a high dose of entertainment.
The drive through adventure in the Safari Park crosses an eight kilometre trail taking around 45 minutes to cover. In the comfort of a car or coach you will be able to witness a large spectrum of wild animals roaming freely in their natural habitats, up close. These animals include Asian and African animals besides endangered and rare species. It also includes hair raising feeding shows of the big cats.
The animal shows of Bangkok Safari World include Dolphin Show, Orangutan Boxing Show and the Sea Lion Show. Each show is presented in different parts of the zoo with ample time in between two shows, so that you wouldn’t miss a single show during your tour. If this isn’t enough to quench your thirst for adventure, then get on board the Jungle Cruise and have an ultimate thrill ride. This will be a fun packed water flume ride that takes you through the habitats of the formidable crocodiles and the dominating primates.
The Marine Park at Bangkok Safari World is a great place that provides edutainment for the entire family. This park houses diverse species of animals and hosts a number of world class shows. Not only children, even the adults will be truly fascinated by the tricks and acrobats of these animal performers on air, water and land.
