| Richard G. Heft: born NYC, NY (1952). His childhood dream was to become a doctor; attended the University of Pittsburgh (1971-1974) and graduated with a B.A. in political science. In 1984, purchased a small health food store in Hollywood, FL, renaming it Food and Thought (1984-2001). In 1989, enrolled and later graduated from the Acupressure Acupuncture Institute, Miami, FL with a degree in acupuncture, nutrition and massage; licensed professionally as an Acupuncture Physician (FL 1992-2002). For ten years or more, questioned and counseled his customers (300 per week), always asking the same question, in relation to their symptoms, What do you eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner?; wrote and published Hot and Cold Health Jan. 2003, revised 2009 (includes Hot and Cold Diseases 2008). In his spare time, Richard likes practice chi gung, walk, bike, and hike in the mountains, breathe fresh air, read books, listen to music, and above all, contemplate God. Health is the ultimate solution to the health crisis, disease, not doctors, insurance companies and politicians. |
