National History Museum

During the battle of Vieux Grand port, the injured British and French soldiers were known to be medically treated here. The battle is an important mark in the history of the place as it was the only naval battle ever won by the French.

Pere Laval’s Shrine

This beautiful attraction was the shrine of a famous French Catholic Priest named Père Jacques Désiré Laval. The priest expired in the year 1864 leaving behind his lovely beautiful shrine. In the year 1979 the shrine was declared as a sacred place by Pope John Paul II during his visit here. This shrine is a popular figure for all the residents of the metropolis. Lion Mountain
Lion Mountain rises to a height of 480 meters above the sea level.
