Pride Mobility opened its doors in 1986 when they began custom building lift chairs. They became known for well made lift chairs that were very durable. In the early 90’s they expanded their business to include electric mobility scooters. They strived to create reliable scooters that were very stylish, but also completely functional. The Jazzy was born in 1996 and was Prides first electric power wheelchair. It uses an oft copied mid wheel drive system that provides the excellent maneuverability and stability.
Pride has continuously given back to the mobility community and has strived to provide products that are designed to be functional aids to mobility challenged individuals. This includes creating a special division in 2000 that specializes in electric power wheelchairs and accessories that are geared towards rehabilitation needs. They are constantly researching and developing new control methods and chairs that make many peoples lives much better.
Pride has also spearheaded several initiatives to help standardize the accessibility of mobility devices. Their goal is to provide the mobility community as much support as possible and raise standards of living across the globe.
