Agatha Christie, my favorite author

Agatha Christie is one of my favorite author because not only she is the queen of crime, and creted good mysteries but also here writing style is good and she gave us beautiful picture of english upper classes of early 2000th century, which I like very much.

She wrote 76 crime novels and short stories. Her novels are translated in every major languages, She is the third most widely published author of all time and in all languages. She was awarded as the 'dame' of British Empire in the year 1971.

She had created five detective characters and M. Hercule Poirot is the most famous among them. The five detectives are as follows:

M. Hercule Poirot, a Belgian refugee and ex-police officer of The Belgian Police force. He is famous for his enormous moushtache and his little grey cells of brain. He was first appeared in the novel 'A Mysterious affairs in styles'(1922) where he was introduced by his friend Captain Hastings. His last novel is 'The Curtain'(1975). He was appeared in 39 novels including short stories and equally he was good in solving a crime in each stories.

He is ranked in the first position among the fiction detectives along with the most popular fictitious detective Sherlock Holmes created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

Miss Jane Marple, a elderly spinter lived in a village named St. Mary Mead.

According to her human nature is essentially same in all places, that is why she always found a village parallels corrosponding to each cases and solved the mystery. Her first novel is 'Murder at the Vicarage'(1930) and last novel is 'The Sleeping Murder'(1976).

Tommy and Tuppence Beresford, a married couple and amuetuer detectives. Their first novel is 'The Secret Adversory'(1923) and the last novel is 'Postern of Fate'(1974).

Mr. Parker Pyne, appeared only in some short stories. Name of the book is 'Mr. Parker Pyne, Detective' (1934)

Agatha Christie also wrote six romantic novels in under the pseudonym Mary Westmacott.

Her novels can be considered as classics becuase the plots with the characters created by her can be fitted in any time and in any place.
