Essential oils are not the same as fragrant, massage or scent oils. The basic pure oils are derived from the true plants, perfumed oils are artificially formed from artificial substances and do not provide the same benefits that you would expect from pure essential oils. Essential oils can present valuable psychological and wholesome therapeutic treatment when used correctly. These benefits are usually achieved through inhalation and application of the oil.
You must always read the directions for use on the bottle and seek professional help before using essential oils. The basis element, composition and fragrance of necessary oils can be purchased as blends of several basic organic oils.
Careful inhalation of the oils can also give therapeutic gain as oils vapor enters our body and blood stream. Essential oils are regularly used by diluting them with other oils. It is sometimes cost effective to buy blend of pure essential as this saves you from buying individual oils and mixing them. The disadvantage is that you have no control over the blend as you have not mixed it yourself and also you cannot then add any other organic or pure essential oils to it.
There are many different ways of using Aromatherapy Essential oils. Mostly they are used by diluting them with carrier oil (sweet almond oil, apricot kernel oil, grape seed oil) and then applying this blend to the skin for absorption. Another common use of essential oil is to use an aromatherapy diffuser. Few drops of essential oil mixed with water can prove very effective in making your home warm and refreshing.
