Relationships is the key in effective marketing. People will work with people they know and trust. They will even pass up better deals because they don't want to take a chance on the type of service they might lose on. Service often is picked above price. But how do you prove your effective service?

If you create a typical ad, your potential customer will tend to ignore or throw it away. If you give them a CD or DVD they will tend to watch it and not throw it away. Why? Because they will feel obligated to. They would feel too guilty to throw it away. They will assume you spent all this money on them and that you are important so they will at least give your disc a few moments of attention.

Okay, let's get to the first step. Find a cheap camcorder. Get someone to hold it in front of you and start recording. Make it no more than fifteen minutes and make sure you get right straight to the point. If you're too wordy or you have alot of hype you'll lose your audience. If you bring in facts and show what you do and it's informative it will be interesting to your potential customer. Your customer will (without realizing it) feel like they know you. They are experiencing you. Don't worry if you're not so good looking. People don't care.

They most important thing to a person is how they feel about themselves. If you take care of their possible concerns or questions in your video then you have won them. Next thing you do is go on the internet and do a search for video transfer companies or services. A list of names will pop up. Don't pay more than twenty dollars to have you video transferred to a DVD.

Next, take your DVD, do a search for DVD duplication companies or services and you will find someone who knock out fifty, a hundred or much more for one dollar each.

If it's a CD you want to produce then do a search for sound recording services, or audio recording studios and you will find a list of hungry sound engineers. Don't pay more than twenty five dollars an hour to have yourself recorded. There are too many hungry engineers out there to compete with. Have them record your voice, then afterward you are done recording you have the option to listen and edit out the parts you feel won't help. Once again make sure you are informative. This will make it more interesting. Facts are often interesting.

We are all built to want to learn. We are naturally curious about things that we may not believe we could be interested in but then we find ourselves curious. By producing and mass duplicating your own CD or DVD you will create not only a relationship with your customer, but you will be giving them a positive experience of learning something that just might service them. They will remember you. This experience is something they will naturally anticipate and expect when they see you in person to use your service.

You can mail out your disc, or give them away. Once again people will think this is more expensive than it really is. This will show that you care about them. It's called "good grooming". It holds the same value as someone looking nice for you.
