There is space, there is light and yet through the midst of the journey, there is a trying torture when you are face to face with one of the biggest blocks that you have ever faced. That’s what you feel everyday and yet the block and the life is as growing as a drop of ink in water. Road safety in India is a matter concern, growing ever longer and ever complex yet finding it hard to be curtailed at all instances. It isn’t the lack of space nor the time but the anxiety and the psyche of an ordinary man that leads him into doom when once he plans to step outside the foyers of his home.
Road regulations in India need a revamp”, “it hurts to drive” and it’s “high time that Road Traffic in India needs a control”; these are statements often repeated and often forgotten… they strive hard and yet find that they are back to point one from which the mouth is force3d to utter the same phrases, language and the panic that has been inside overnight. I won’t say that frustration on roads is the sole reason for lack of road safety in India.
Yet the Road Stays Far
But if at all there is something that has gained a proportion of great dissatisfaction, the first thing to come to the mind shall be the traffic, the congestion and the panic that people faces when entering into an Indian road. Road rage in India is altogether a different story and remains solely a result of social antecedents and poor past psychological history of the drivers. Driving fast could be a skill at times but ‘fast and safe’ is never a concern to the modern day drivers. If you drive to kill, then you are the worst of the lot.
There is a way to tackle the roads and even when the driving conditions in India remain a lot from being driver friendly. ‘How to drive in India’? If that is your cause of concern, there can be places where you could learn the hard and fast rules of the process. Road safety is essential and a blink or a wink is not what is expected from the driver; neither could you be a defensive driver when the regulations in India remain week enough to be called no regulations. Where you are at present is the way you could be taken forward…if that’s the philosophy, you are just a click away from the best drive of your life.
