A New Wedding Package For Only £2500 at the Worsley Arms Hotel |

A hotel wedding venue in North Yorkshire has decided to target the small wedding market with a ‘value’ wedding package aimed at the increasing number of couples who are shunning the expensive alternative and avoiding the credit card bill which usually goes with it. |

Increasingly engaged couples appear to be looking further afield for wedding venues and they’ll also consider avoiding the expensive Saturday weddings, with Friday and Sundays gaining in popularity. Small hotel wedding venues also appear to be favoured over larger hotels due to the ‘intimacy’ of a couple being able to have exclusive use over the whole hotel, meaning guests are less likely to bump into other leisure or corporate guests. Mr Finn added “Our wedding customers generally want the place to themselves – their own country house hotel for the day. They get the run of the place; the bedrooms, public spaces and even the garden. This also means the hotel staff can focus purely on looking after the wedding guests and ensuring the needs of the clients are met.”
To encourage this market further, the Worsley Arms Hotel near York has devised a special package, priced at only £2,500 for up to 50 guests. The following elements are included in the price; pre ceremony refreshments of tea and coffee, room hire (the Kent room) for the ceremony, celebration drink (Kir Royale or Bucks Fizz), 3 course wedding breakfast, 2 glasses of wine, freshly brewed coffee and mints and a glass of sparkling wine for the toast.
Not included in the package price are the registrar costs (around £200) and optional, are bedrooms (special rates available for guests) and an evening buffet (some couples like to put on entertainment and invite further guests).
For this particular wedding venue near York, flexibility is seen to be crucial, as no two weddings are ever the same, as Tony explains, “People are different and their view of the perfect wedding experience varies wildly. This new package is priced attractively, but we know we need to flex to the needs of customers, as they may want 55 guests instead of 50 or Champagne instead of sparkling wine.”
With no two North Yorkshire wedding venues being the same and no two sets of engaged couples being the same, it seems that hotel wedding venues will constantly have to update their wedding offers and keep the customer central in the decision-making process.
