The Himalayan adventure is one of the many reasons why adventure seekers never cease to include North India as part of their itinerary. The Taj Mahal is also an important part of North Indian tours with its spectacular architectural design that best exemplifies art. This sacred place has been one of the wonders of the world and this can only be found in India.
The historical city of New Delhi
New Delhi is the home of India’s most promising forts and monuments that can give you a glimpse of India’s history. As the capital of India, it houses the embassies of different countries and government buildings being the centre of the country. New Delhi brings a mixture of a rich culture, good food and very warm people. Forts are also some of the favourite destinations of tourists and locals in the country. These forts have very unique and well defined architecture that never cease to amaze anyone who sees them. Monuments like that of Qutub Minar, is a very important part of India’s history and culture as well. People in New Delhi have a very strong religious belief, that is why there are many places of worship or temples that can be found in the city. Among the other attractions in New Delhi are the Lodhi Gardens and the Raj Ghat that will definitely bring the best of your North India travel.
Discovering Agra
Agra has a three tourist spots that are considered to be world renowned as they are part of the UNESCO World heritage sites. First on the list is the Taj Mahal. The Taj Mahal is an architectural structure that is considered as one of the best in the whole world. It is considered as a masterpiece and a great symbol of world heritage. It is made up of white marbles and is known as a monument of love. This structure is also considered to be one of the most photographed architectural works in the world. The next attraction is the Agra Fort which is of red sandstone. This fort was built by Emperor Akbar and it has so much to tell about the history of India.
Jaipur: The Pink City
Jaipur was built by Sawai Jai Singh during the 18th century. It is the home of beautiful tourist destinations such as the Vidham Sabha, the City Palace and the Rajpur forts. This city has been called the pink city because of the pink buildings which were intentionally repainted with such color in honor of the visit of the Prince of Wales. Getting to Jaipur can be done by train, bus or by plane and when you are in the city, getting around is very easy as there are buses and taxis anywhere in the city.
Kashmir and Jammu: Princely States
Jammu as the winter capital became popular with its temples. On the other hand Kashmir has been known with its gardens, lakes and magnificent landscapes. Found in these cities are tourist attractions such as the Chadar Trek , Mubarak Mandi Palace, Bahu Fort and many others. The rich culture of these two cities and the warm locals make them a very good place to spend a vacation.
