• Bodhgaya- Located in Gaya district of Bihar, this place is a famous pilgrimage destination where Lord Buddha attained enlightenment. This place is popular for Mahabodhi temple and Bodhi tree under which Lord Buddha had meditated while undergoing enlightenment. Some of the other attractions of the place include Vajrasana, the Chankaraamana and magnificent statues of Lord Buddha.
• Kushinagar- This is the place where Lord Buddha attained Mahaparinirvana. Each and every place is associated with history of Lord Buddha which is quite fascinating for the tourists. Lord Buddha died at this place and was cremated in Rambhar. Some of the main attractions of this place include Meditation park, Ramabhar stupa, International Buddha trust, Nirvana temple and many more.
• Sravasti- Located in Gonda District near the Rapti river, this religious destination was full of Lord Buddha’s miracles. At this place Buddha spent around 25 years and lived in the monastery of Jetavan and Pubbarama.
• Sankashya- It is believed that when Lord Buddha returned back to the earth, a huge assembly was gathered here which was attended by the kings and people of eight kingdoms.
