A Dream: Journey Towards The Sun

Only we can touch the sky after passing the hard rocks. The rocks will certainly make us determined, dedicated, disciplined and enthusiastic instead of resisting us. Let’s try tomorrow’s doings today. Let’s beat the tide and reach the harbor. Because our journey is towards the sun.

Looking ahead towards the future Bangladesh we always use to dream for something new, something better. In recent times all the people of the country are worried, in the sense of the future of the country, in the sense of the stability of the country. But my view point is bit different, as a person of this generation I dream for something new for the future generation. Its not for something which will make others amaze, it’s not something that will bring rapid change in our country.

In recent times I have a finding that people want to talk, want to share and want to contribute. There is a growing trend of increasing awareness regarding their issues, rights etc. I am not telling anything political point of view but as a citizen of the country we have to be politically conscious. The people of Fulbari wiped up a foreign company from extracting coal from our soil. They not only prohibit extracting but also protect the rights of the country. And that’s only with their own interest. Yea, our finding is that our interest is absolutely the interest of our country. This increasing social-political awareness will lead us to develop a system. I am very eager to see and to take part in that system. That system will lead us towards real democracy not the political party’s activity. Few days ago I have read an article in Inc., The Most Creative Product Ever by Jim Collins, a famous business writer.

From the very outset I was very eager to know about the product which is most creative according to Jim Collins. But I find some other thing in that article. Jim Collins identifies systems as the most creative product, not any single product. According to him, single product is a discrete thing but a good system opens the door for thousands of innovations. He cited the example of Tomas Alva Edison, a legendary scientist, who is still remembered not because of any single product but the modern laboratory that he developed and leaded the way of thousands of innovation (that’s true, Edison invented 1093 types of products!!). Yes we are waiting for the system which will create the cognition of sense, responsibility, awareness, courage, trust, honesty, honor etc. Our system will be for the future generation, will be for the people who will enlighten the country.

Every phrase of our current system has been spoiled; the result is we are continuously champs(!) in corruption for the last few years (except this year). We have some work in hand examples of our system failure. We are unable to find any single person as acceptable to all. Our regrets continue when we involve in the dirty & self-destructive political game even in the time when our Prof. Yunus brings glory for the whole country. A stable political tolerance can be the best gift for Dr. Yunus, I guess. We have missed that opportunity. We are heading toward the end of our time & opportunity. We will not get Nobel every year, we will not get chance all the time. But still we are in deep confusion that when will we get tolerance from our political leaders.

Every year we see the smiling face of SSC and HSC passing students, it gives us immense pleasure. But how can we expect that that will continue? It is their excellence that they come out in the time when the state failed to manage adequate electricity for them, failed to manage consistency in their text books and syllabus and finally failed to provide them a quiet environment. I doubt that how long they can survive!! But we have to work for that. We have to develop a system so that the potential of every talented student can be utilized. We have to establish more and more higher educational institutions which will not be the play ground for the politicians. In our system, in the system of future there will not be any place for destructive politics. Our politics will be of assistance directed towards development, glory, learning and freedom.

Learning, sharing will be our passion and habit. Our system will be developed to reign the world as we can easily guess that only through knowledge we can reign the world. People may have the controversy in opinion on the matter that why USA is so dominating in the every sector of the world. Some may argue for atomic power, some may for democracy and some may for political strength but my view is USA is so dominating because there is culture of knowledge, learning etc. USA hosted the top most universities of the world where knowledge are being created(!). They practice designing the future world there. That is the core of knowledge. Will you disagree that knowledge is the most important power not nuclear? Let’s start sharing knowledge from today, let’s uphold our hands together, let’s start working for the future Bangladesh today.
