1. Bad colors.
You can typically spot bad stickers and bad printing companies if their sample prints have bad colors. A bad color sticker is when its colors are too faded, too intense or if the colors have blots, and other kinds of spills. All these signs are basically mistakes in the calibration and the use of inks when the printing company uses them. You will not want your own stickers printed in such a condition since they will look totally different from what you are imagining and in fact might vary from one batch to the next. So if you see sample stickers with bad types of color printing as describes, it is best to look for another more professional printer.
2. Misaligned elements and cutting.
Another sign of a bad sticker product or misaligned elements and bad cutting. You can check for this by looking at the edge of the stickers to see if the actual lines of the stickers align with the physical dimensions. If you see a gross misalignment or bad cutting at the edge, then this means that the sticker is not as accurately and professionally printed. This means that your own color stickers might have discrepancies in printing if you do print with that particular sticker printing company. Make sure that you switch to another printer if you do see these bad signs.
3. Thin materials.
It is also important to watch out for thin materials as you judge those sample stickers. A thinner color sticker basically means a weaker sticker that easily gets damaged, folder or cut. You would not want that, especially if your stickers are meant for marketing or for advertising. Those thinner sticker prints will usually look cheaper and less appealing. So, only look for sample stickers that are thick so that they have more material integrity, making them look better and last longer of course.
4. Weak adhesives.
The adhesives is also something to check. Weak adhesives in stickers are of course a bad sign. You can test this easy enough buy sticking the sample sticker in various places. If the sticker can hold its own in glass and other smooth glossy surfaces it is a good sign. However, if it already starts to peel away after just a few minutes at a glossy surface, then that sticker is not as good as you want it to be. If you truly want your stickers to last, you should go for printing companies with sample stickers that have strong adhesives.
