Color accuracy is a term that refers to how accurate your printers reproduce the colors that you can see on your computer monitor. Some hues may appear lighter and softer on a computer monitor than when they are printed on a substrate.
This is because of the different color space used by different mediums. Printers use the CMYK color space while the computers use the RGB color space. Because these two things operate in different color spaces, color accuracy is sometimes compromised.
By sending you a copy of the materials that they print, the printing company lets you check on how accurate they reproduce your colors. you can check if the red that they use is consistent with the color on screen and the same with the other colors. once you see that color accuracy is acceptable to your standards, you can be assured that that printing company will be able to print your materials at a very high quality.

Another thing that you can check when you have a sample of brochure printing materials is you can check the various products and services that they can give you. you can check the substrates that they use as well as the inks and the finish that are available.
For example, you can see if the paper stocks that they use offer a variety of options that lets you be flexible in your designs. Are they diverse enough so that you can choose a different paper stock for a certain project? Most importantly, you can gauge the color, feel and thickness of the paper stocks that they offer. Traditionally, the best paper stocks are paper stocks that are bright white and smooth. However, it all depends on your preference – that is why having the ability to feel the materials in person is very important.
To see if the company is confident in the products that they are making. Also, when you are requesting for a sample from a company, you are effectively challenging them to show you the best services and products that they have and that is why the sample products used by printing companies are the best that they have. If the sample product that is given to you is below your expectations, then there is no point of trying out their services for yourself. Just continue and look for other printers that are up to par with what you need.
